Introduction

• This service is a voluntary effort to help procure non-stunned chicken.  It simply consolidates the individual orders to get very good prices.
• Al-Maeedah chicken is not stunned.  It is produced by Murray Farms, NY.
• Since all the blood is drained, it has a lower water-content.  Therefore, the quality is much better.
• It is the only USDA-approved chicken in the country I know of which is not stunned during slaughter.
• It is certified by the Shariah Board of New York, Halal Monitoring Services (HMS).
• Please note that HMS permits stunning, but Murray Farms, a Jewish company, does slaughtering without stunning, both for the Kosher and the Halal chicken products.
• When I contacted them directly a few months ago, they said that they do not ship to the West Coast.  Also, the truckers prefer to haul a full load from the east coast to WA state, which is normally 10,000 pounds.
• A newly-established Halal business in LA, onestophalal.com, has agreed to supply us with this chicken in smaller quantities.  They recommended ordering 2,000 lbs to make freight charges cost effective.  However, for a trial run, they agreed to ship one pallet weighing 2,000 lbs (50 boxes, 40 lbs each).  The freight cost is just a little less than that for the 2,000 lb load (not half).
• Prices vary each time, since a quote factors in base prices and shipping costs.
• Payment is required to be made when the order is placed.
• The chicken is produced in New York and shipped to Seattle on cold trucks.
• All orders are FINAL.  There will be no changes or refunds.  *** PLEASE NOTE ***
• Orders can be placed through Regional Coordinators (RCs) (list available separately).
• A few cuts are available from which to select the items (list available separately).  The list has links to the items on the onestophalal.com website.
• Wings have been added to the list on popular demand.

Our Experience

We ordered Al-Maeedah chicken from the onestophalal.com website. It was shipped in high-tech insulated cartons with ice packs. When cooked, it turned out VERY delicious!

Ordering Al-Maeedah Chicken

1. Select the items from the price list for the order.
2. Select the RC closest to you from the list and place the order.  No payment at this time.
3. When the total box count for all the orders reaches between 45 and 50, the RC will contact you for payment.  We’ll keep the remaining boxes in reserve in case someone wants to order later.
4. Arrange with the RC to make the payment for your order.
5. When money for all the orders is received in full, payments will be made to onestophalal.com.
6. onestophalal.com will place an order with the producer.
7. Delivery is expected to take 10 days.  RC will notify you about the delivery schedule.
8. When the shipment arrives at the destination, the RCs will arrange for the picking up the boxes from there and deliver to you.
9. Please note that we don’t have any cold-storage facilities.  The boxes have to be distributed immediately when the shipment arrives.
10. RCs will make arrangements to pick up the boxes as soon as possible and deliver to you.  Please be available or make arrangements with someone else to receive the boxes.
11. If the boxes are not picked up by you or someone else designated on your behalf in a reasonable time, they will have to be sold to those on the waiting list.  A refund will be issued to you after deducting 10% service fee. *** PLEASE NOTE ***
